Making the website banners

A little post from behind the scenes!

Shooting the website banners is a surprisingly challenging task, it's mostly about composition - long and wide, space for logo, chocolates looking fabulous - and making a compelling image that says 'hey this is James Chocolate! the surprisingly and delightful chocolate that's quirky and delicious and a bit special!'

And also trying not to eat it whilst you're shooting it.

These are a couple of work in progress shots as I try to lay out what works best, the iPhone camera is a godsend for quick tests, then once everything seems correct a proper shot (or twenty) is taken and then touched up to make it perfect and pleasing!

The two below are named Chillies and Desserts! Still to come are Animals and Bars....
